My work lives at the intersection of leadership, strategy, and communication, shaped by years across IT, international development, government, and community leadership. I care about helping people think more clearly about the work in front of them so their decisions are grounded, intentional, and able to hold complexity. Over time, I have learned how to help leaders move beneath the noise, articulate what they mean, and build strategies that can carry real weight. Naming What Is Emerging

Leaders often find themselves in seasons where something new is beginning to take shape, yet it has not matured enough to be described with confidence. The old patterns are losing their accuracy, but the new ones have not yet gathered into anything coherent. The organization is shifting, the team is responding differently, and the leader senses that the work is moving toward a horizon they cannot fully see. They are standing in a moment where the emerging reality is still fragile, still forming, still reluctant to declare itself.

Edge Dwellers

Every organization has a few people who seem unusually comfortable in seasons of transition. While others feel the strain of uncertainty, these leaders inhabit the in-between with a steadiness that is difficult to explain. They are not necessarily more talented or more visionary. What sets them apart is their ability to remain attentive and grounded in moments when the familiar patterns no longer guide the work. They are what might be called edge-dwellers: leaders who do some of their best thinking in the spaces where clarity is still forming.

When The Map Stops Working

Most leaders begin their work with some understanding of how things operate: a mental map built from past experience, inherited strategies, trusted instincts, and unspoken assumptions that help them interpret what is happening around them. This map is not formal. It lives in the leader’s sense of what tends to work, how people usually respond, and what patterns are likely to repeat themselves. It gives shape to decisions and offers orientation in moments that might otherwise feel scattered.
